We are starting off our ‘Instruction Manuals’ tutorial section today with one of the most important things that you’ll need to do in your Sellerfuse Dashboard. Adding your cost of goods to your inventory.
This is extremely important, and without adding this, you won’t see a correct profit figure in your hubs.

In your main dashboard, you will find that the COG & Prep is set to £0.00 if you have not entered COGs. In addition to this, we provide a warning in Your Orders page, which has been designed in this way to alert you.

As you can see, there is a physical warning triangle. This will display until you rectify the empty Cost of Goods.
Fortunately, it’s really easy to add your cost of goods on Sellerfuse. All you have to do is the following:
Navigate to the Inventory Manager. You can get here by opening the Amazon menu on the left, and selecting Inventory Manager. It looks like this:

I’ve marked this image in yellow, you’ll see the View button on the right. Well it’s more of a link than a button, but when you click this the magic starts to happen.
This is your Cost Control Center. That sounds a bit too high-tec. It’s basically a table where you can enter all of the details that’s relevant to you.

You will see that there’s a few options here to enter. We’ve been re-designing this to make it as fast as possible for you to enter data, and this is what we’ve come up with so far. We will keep re-defining it, and have other methods too such as a Excel Import option and plenty others.
The main part here is the cost of goods. Here you should enter the total cost of goods you’ve paid. Include the VAT paid on the item.
There are then some optional entry slots, such as VAT Rate if you know you’re being charged a lower VAT rate, or the item is Zero VAT Rated.
Finally, you can enter the Prep Costs, Delivery Costs & optionally you can enter the supplier. This data is completely secure and only accessible to yourself, so don’t worry that another user would be able to see this data. However, it’s optional for a reason, we chose not to force you to enter a supplier name.
If you do enter your supplier name, then your Sourcing dashboard will start to populate. As below:

Once you have entered all of your information, you can hit save. This will then close the window and take you back to the Inventory Manager page.
You can then continue to enter your Cost of Goods for Amazon FBA and FBM inventory. Alternatively, if you’re a seller with lots of inventory, you would definitely be better suited to using the Upload Tool. You can use this if you’re coming to Sellerfuse from another software provider, as we provide an easy import option for your COGS.
I’ll be making a video on that shortly, as importing is probably easier to follow with a YouTube tutorial. If there’s anything else we can do to help, please log into your account and jump straight on Live Chat.
